This short introductory sentence above the table of contents should include the creature's name and pronunciation, as well as it's status as a creature. For example:
The Doedicurus (dee-dik-YOO-russ) is one of the Mammals in ARK: Survival Evolved.

Basic Info[edit source]

Dossier[edit source]

This section is intended to be an exact copy of what the survivor Helena Walker, the author of the dossiers, has written. There may be some discrepancies between this text and the in-game creature.

This is for the text on the dossier image written underneath "Wild".

Known Information

This is for the text on the dossier image that relates to neither wild nor domesticated creatures, but is just general info.

This is for the text on the dossier image written underneath "Domesticated".

~ Helena

Behavior[edit source]

Add a description of how the creature behaves. Does it attack anything it sees? Is it a passive creature that runs when threatened? Maybe it does something unique like throwing poo(Mesopithecus) or roll into an impenetrable ball(Doedicurus)?

Appearance[edit source]

Add a description for the creature. Try and keep it limited to in-game appearance and avoid simply copying from Wikipedia or some other site not related to the game.

Drops[edit source]

What can be gathered by harvesting the creature? These items should be bulleted and link to the item they are referring to.

Base Stats and Growth[edit source]

This table contains the stats a creature has at Level 1, as well as the amount that each stat increases by when it is leveled up both in the wild and when domesticated.

Taming[edit source]

Note: The content of this section is temporary until the necessary data is released for a Taming Table to be created for the creature.

The estimates on the maximum and minimum number of Tranquilizer Arrows it will take to knock the creature unconscious should refer to shots taken with an engram-quality Wooden Bow, not Crossbows, Compound Bows, or upgraded bows from supply crates.

Level Tranq Arrows Narcotics / Narcoberries food time
? ? ? ? Raw Meat 00:00

Note that the values are for optimal cases, always bring extra supplies!
For a level-dependent count of resources needed, try an external taming calculator.

Preferred Food[edit source]

What does the creature prefer to eat? Does it have a favorite Kibble? Does it prefer Crops or Berries, and if so, which ones?

  1. Kibble (Dilo Egg)
  2. Crops
  3. Mejoberry

KO Strategy[edit source]

How is the creature tamed? Is it tamed violently or non-violently? Does the creature have something about it that makes taming difficult/different, such as exceptionally high movement speed or torpor?

Utility[edit source]

Roles[edit source]

What roles does the creature fill? Is it a good tank that can take a lot of damage? Does its high Weight stat make it a good pack animal?

Collectibles[edit source]

What resources can the creature gather? The resource-gathering is ranked on a 5-star-ranking.

Spotlight[edit source]

Not all pages will have this section. This is where you should embed the official spotlight video if available.

Notes/Trivia[edit source]

  • Add notes and fun facts about the creature, as a bulleted list. Examples include:
  • This creature's name means...[1]
  • There is a bug that causes this creature to...
  • The dossier is incorrect in saying that...

Gallery[edit source]

This goes at the bottom of the page and contains various images of the in-game creature. You can add your own images here as long as they don't violate the Wiki Rules, but if a page has too many images, space may be limited to those deemed "higher quality".

Template[edit source]

If you're creating a new creature page, you can easily copy this template and simply fill in the information you have.

For the Infobox, all fields except "name," the "habitat" fields, and "rideable comment," "breedable comment," and "tameable comment" are automatically populated from Module:Dv/data.

{{Infobox creature
Add values to this section ONLY IF the Infobox is INCOMPLETE or MISSING information.
When values are defined here, they override the values our database uses, which is compiled from the ARK game files.
After values are changed here, we will verify them with our database, and update it as needed.
Habitat information is NOT stored in our database and will ONLY be pulled from the data on this page.
If curious, our creature database is located at:
