Angler Gel is an organic fuel resource that can be obtained by killing Angler, Deathworm, or from fishing.

Angler Gel is the longest lasting lighting source and can be used on the Standing Torch and Wall Torch. It also has the least weight of any lighting fuel. When used on the Standing Torch, the torch's color turns blue.

Angler Gel is needed to craft and repair the Night Vision Goggles and Electric Prod. It is also used to craft the Kibble (Therizinosaurus Egg). After the Prod has been used once, it has to be refilled at a Fabricator with 8 Angler Gel.

Angler Gel is also used to passive tame a Manta.

Gathering[edit | edit source]

The best yield for Angler Gel is harvested from an Angler's corpse with a Chainsaw Scorched Earth Icon.png

Harvest Anglerfish with a Direwolf in the first big pond in the Snow Cave gives a great amount of Angler Gel.

Utility[edit | edit source]

Forge: While it is not quite inexpensive, it is useful for forges on mobile bases since it has an extremely low weight plus its long burning time, or for forges on insular bases since it requires only one slot (Filled with 59 ×  Angler Gel) to process a fully loaded forge in the 7 other slots

Light: While one stack lasts 4 days, it can still add up quickly if this is used as a basic light source
