The Archaeopteryx Egg is one of the Dinosaur Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Archaeopteryx Eggs are randomly dropped by Archaeopteryx.png Archaeopteryx. They can be eaten or used to make Simple Kibble.png Simple Kibbles for taming Archaeopteryx.png Archaeopteryx, Diplocaulus.png Diplocaulus, Gallimimus.png Gallimimus, Giant Bee.png Giant Bee, Ichthyosaurus.png Ichthyosaurus, Iguanodon.png Iguanodon, Megaloceros.png Megaloceros, Morellatops.png Morellatops, Pachy.png Pachy, Raptor.png Raptor, and Trike.png Triceratops. On ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile, they can be used to make Kibble (Mobile).png Kibble (Archaeopteryx Egg) for taming a Diplocaulus.png Diplocaulus.

After two Archaeopteryx.png Archaeopteryx mate, the resulting egg can be hatched and become a baby Archaeopteryx.png Archaeopteryx. A Player picking one up in the presence of nearby Archaeopteryx.png Archaeopteryx (excluding domesticated ones) will cause them to become hostile and attack the Player.

Collecting[edit | edit source]

Archeopteryx eggs can be retrieved from wild or tamed Archeopteryx

Taking an egg from a wild Archeopteryx will cause it to attack you, however there is little risk in picking up an Archeopteryx egg due to their very low - to none damage. A survivor just has to pick it up.

You can alternatively take the eggs from a tamed Archeopteryx without her becoming aggressive. The rate of egg laying can be improved if you have a male Archeopteryx for the Mate Boost and an Oviraptor near by.

Super Fertilized Egg (Mobile)[edit source]

Logo Mobile.svg This section is about a feature exclusively available on Mobile

The Super Fertilized Archaeopteryx Egg is a type of Dinosaur Egg.png Egg exclusive to ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile.

A Super Fertilized Archaeopteryx Egg can be obtained after a female Archaeopteryx.png Archaeopteryx with the proper Pheromone applied has laid an egg. It will hatch quicker than a normal Dinosaur Egg.png Fertilized Egg and the baby will have better stats when the egg has hatched.

A Super Fertilized Archaeopteryx Egg can also be used to make Super Kibble (Mobile).png Super Kibble which will tame creatures faster and with more taming effectiveness.
