The Corrupted Nodule is a resource in Extinction

Overview

The Corrupted Nodule can be obtained from killing Corrupted Creatures.

Corrupted Nodules act as a substitute for both Polymer Polymer and is functionally identical to Organic Polymer Organic Polymer. Unlike the latter however, the Corrupted Nodule drops at a lower rate and can only be harvested from the bodies of Corrupted Creatures.

Gathering

Gathering Corrupted Nodules has similar mechanics to gathering Organic Polymer Organic Polymer. Tools associated with gathering Organic Polymer Organic Polymer generally work the same with Corrupted Nodules, with the Chainsaw Chainsaw being the most efficient.

Notes

  • Corrupted Nodule can also be used as a "suicide pill." When consumed it does 500 damage to the player, like Organic Polymer, which will kill most players instantly.
  • Exactly like Organic Polymer, the Corrupted Nodule also only stacks up to 20, allowing it to quickly fill up a creature's inventory.
