The creators of ARK: Survival Evolved have openly encouraged users to create their own maps with the use of a comprehensive map editing tool. The users have responded with the following creations. Keep in mind it takes a great amount of time to make a map completely playable, so some may not yet be finished.

Isla Nublar[]

If you have seen the movie "Jurassic Park", this map will seem very familiar to you. The creator's stated goal is for the map to contain every utility road, electric fence, and point of interest true to the movie. However, he is running into some issues publishing the map so it is not yet finished. You can see an overview of the map as well as find the link to the map in the steam workshop in the following video.

Apako Islands[]

This map is truly a special creation and is very likely to be run on multiplayer servers in the future if it isn't already due to its high level of polish. Every feature required for a fully playable map is contained in Apako Islands, which is a 65 square kilometer map which includes many different islands with varying biomes. You can see an overview of the map as well as find the link to the map in the steam workshop in the following video.

Terra Nova[]

Much like Apako Islands, Terra Nova focuses around several different islands as opposed to a central mainland. This map is 150 square kilometers and contains ruins, active volcanos with lava eruptions, extreme waterfalls, among much more. You can see an overview of the map as well as find the link to the map in the steam workshop in the following video.

The Silent Cartographer[]

This map is a near exact replica of the classic Halo: CE mission. The geography of the island is exactly the same and it even includes the forerunner structures. However, this map would not lend itself well to online play due to its very small size. You can see an overview of the map as well as find the link to the map in the steam workshop in the following video.
