The Dimetrodon Egg is one of the Dinosaur Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Dimetrodon Eggs are randomly dropped by Dimetrodon.png Dimetrodons. They can be eaten or used to make Regular Kibble.png Regular Kibbles for taming Anglerfish.png Anglerfish, Ankylosaurus.png Ankylosaurus, Baryonyx.png Baryonyx, Beelzebufo.png Beelzebufo, Carbonemys.png Carbonemys, Carnotaurus.png Carnotaurus, Dimetrodon.png Dimetrodon, Diplodocus.png Diplodocus, Doedicurus.png Doedicurus, Gigantopithecus.png Gigantopithecus, Ichthyornis.png Ichthyornis, Kaprosuchus.png Kaprosuchus, Kentrosaurus.png Kentrosaurus, Lymantria.png Lymantria, Pelagornis.png Pelagornis, Pteranodon.png Pteranodon, Scorpion.png Pulmonoscorpius, Purlovia.png Purlovia, Sabertooth.png Sabertooth, Sarco.png Sarco, Stegosaurus.png Stegosaurus, Terror Bird.png Terror Bird, Thorny Dragon.png Thorny Dragon, and Velonasaur.png Velonasaur. On ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile, they can be used to make Kibble (Mobile).png Kibble (Dimetrodon Egg) for taming Gallimimus.

After two Dimetrodon.png Dimetrodons mate, the resulting egg can be hatched and become a baby Dimetrodon.png Dimetrodon. A Player picking one up in the presence of nearby Dimetrodon.png Dimetrodons (excluding domesticated ones) will cause them to become hostile and attack the Player.

Super Fertilized Egg (Mobile)[edit source]

Logo Mobile.svg This section is about a feature exclusively available on Mobile

The Super Fertilized Dimetrodon Egg is a type of Dinosaur Egg.png Egg exclusive to ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile.

A Super Fertilized Dimetrodon Egg can be obtained after a female Dimetrodon.png Dimetrodon with the proper Pheromone applied has laid an egg. It will hatch quicker than a normal Dinosaur Egg.png Fertilized Egg and the baby will have better stats when the egg has hatched.

A Super Fertilized Dimetrodon Egg can also be used to make Super Kibble (Mobile).png Super Kibble which will tame creatures faster and with more taming effectiveness.

Notes[edit | edit source]

Dimetrodons need to be swimming in water to lay eggs regularly. Dimetrodons on land very rarely lay eggs. One way to determine if the water is deep enough is to feed them about 30 stimberries and see if they poop. If they poop, the water is deep enough.
