Basic Info[edit | edit source]
Dossier[edit | edit source]
Eomys Quercyi is an omnivorous rodent species, primarily inhabiting the island's jungles. It is much smaller than a human, but can move at an incredible speed. It is not normally aggressive, but will engage in battles with smaller insects. Additionally, they can glide for a reasonable distance between trees, therefore they are rarely seen on the ground.
They avoid the Titanoboa and the Dilophosaurus whenever possible as I believe those are their natural predators. They don't only gather seeds but will often pick up some rare flowers or mushrooms, which they carefully arrange around their nests possibly to ward off other creatures. When threatened the Eomys Quercyi will produce an ear splitting high pitch chirp which seem to startle even a Rex, then it will take off at full speed into the undergrowth where it will wait for the danger to pass.
Eomys Quercyi makes an excellent seed gatherer due to their natural liking of seeds and nuts. It is easily tamed as it is very trusting of humans, but if they feel neglected they will not think twice about abandoning the tribe. They like to travel on shoulders, from where they can eaily take off into a glide to a nearby bush if they catch the scent of a juicy Mejoberry.
Behavior[edit | edit source]
Often found among the treetops, where it will glide to get across to another tree instead of taking the long way to look for seeds, berries, rare flowers and rare mushrooms. It will gnaw right through the roots of the trees in the swamp in order to get those rare mushrooms which it likes to collect.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
It's a small land mammal usually brown so it can blend in with the tree branches.

Base Stats and Growth[edit | edit source]
Note that creatures will have different stats in Survival of the Fittest
|Attribute||Amount at Level 1||Increase per point||Taming Bonus|
1Percentages are based on the value of the stat the moment the creature was tamed (after taming effectiveness)
2The absolute Base Damage is shown here instead of the percentage.
3Wild creatures do not level up movement speed
4Torpidity increases every level on wild creatures, but can not be increased once they are tamed.

- These are the base speeds of the creature at 100% Movement Speed
- For a comparison of the speeds of all creatures, see Base Creature Speeds
Taming[edit | edit source]
Eomys is tamed non-violently, rather than through the usual methods. Put the food you wish to feed it with in the far-right slot of your hotbar. Then, approach Eomys and press the use key (default:E) to feed it when the button prompt appears. Do not get any closer than necessary for the prompt to appear, or Eomys will get scared and run away. If it runs, you will not be able to keep up with it.
