The Giganotosaurus Egg is one of the Dinosaur Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Giganotosaurus Eggs are randomly dropped by Giganotosaurus.png Giganotosaurus. They can be eaten or used to make Exceptional Kibble.png Exceptional Kibbles for taming Basilosaurus.png Basilosaurus, Brontosaurus.png Brontosaurus, Giganotosaurus.png Giganotosaurus, Karkinos.png Karkinos, Managarmr.png Managarmr, Mosasaurus.png Mosasaurus, Quetzal.png Quetzal, Rex.png Rex, Spinosaur.png Spinosaur, and Therizinosaur.png Therizinosaur.

After two Giganotosaurus.png Giganotosaurus mate, the resulting egg can be hatched and become a baby Giganotosaurus.png Giganotosaurus. A Player picking one up in the presence of nearby Giganotosaurus.png Giganotosaurus (excluding domesticated ones) will cause them to become hostile and attack the Player.

Collecting[edit | edit source]

A Player picking up one in the presence of nearby Giganotosaurus.png Giganotosaurus (Excluding domesticated Giganotosaurs), will cause them to become hostile and attack the Player, which is an extremely dangerous action. If one discovers a Giganotosaurus egg and wishes to retrieve it, an extremely fast flying mount and quick ascent are absolutely necessary. If the egg is located on a beach, an amphibious mount is also an option. Facing a Giganotosaurus (or two) on land is generally a bad idea, as their immense damage and the immediate aggression from picking up an egg requires a quick plan of escape or a well planned counterattack. If you fail to lose the aggro on the Giganotosaurus(s) and lack an extremely fast air mount, they can and will follow you back to your base, which could have disastrous results, one way to lose them is to fly over water, once they are far out, you fly back to base, they wont catch up to you then.

Note[edit | edit source]

  • Prior to ARK: Homestead, Giganotosaurus Eggs cannot be made into Kibble.

Super Fertilized Egg (Mobile)[edit source]

Logo Mobile.svg This section is about a feature exclusively available on Mobile

The Super Fertilized Giganotosaurus Egg is a type of Dinosaur Egg.png Egg exclusive to ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile.

A Super Fertilized Giganotosaurus Egg can be obtained after a female Giganotosaurus.png Giganotosaurus with the proper Pheromone applied has laid an egg. It will hatch quicker than a normal Dinosaur Egg.png Fertilized Egg and the baby will have better stats when the egg has hatched.

A Super Fertilized Giganotosaurus Egg can also be used to make Super Kibble (Mobile).png Super Kibble which will tame creatures faster and with more taming effectiveness.
