The Metal Stairs is an inclined ramp that can be used to overcome heights. A Metal Stairs is 1 foundation wide, 1 foundation long and 1 wall tall.
Notes[]
- It's often easier to build a stairs from the top down, as the excess stairs will usually extend through the floor. Building it from the bottom up will cause it to protrude over the surface you're trying to connect it to.
- The Metal Stairs is treated as a metal structure and can only be damaged by explosives, the Tek Rifle, Tek Saddles, a Titanosaur, Arthropluera, Corrupted Creatures, Enraged Creatures, Titans, Bosses, or the DodoRex.
- Can be used as windows or blinders for whoever steers the raft. Most useful for tall rafts. Pros: grants protection against most dinos and projectiles. Cons: getting too close to the stairs can allow dinos to target you or your tames (example: Dodo).
Painting and Color Regions[]
The Metal Stairs are not currently paint-able, however these may be re-mapped to include paint regions in a future update.
For more information on Paint Regions and how to use them, please view the Dye, Paintbrush, or Spray Painter pages.
