Basic Info[edit | edit source]
Dossier[edit | edit source]
I thought Sarcosuchus Excubitor was the largest crocodilian in the Island's Swamps, that is until I encountered Deinosuchus Sanguineus. Massive and bulky, Deinosuchus is quite slow, but should not be underestimated when pursuing possible prey. I've heard some survivors speak of a resemblance to "Foot-Biters," but have yet to encounter such a creature.
Deinosuchus appears to be a bit more aggressive than Sarcosuchus. While not as fast, they definitely pose a greater threat due to their violent, gashing bites. Even the ferocious Rex seems to crumble to fiercer individuals, so make sure you're prepared if you wish to battle one of these aquatic reptiles!
Deinosuchus excels in most of Sarcosuchus' perks, with the exception of speed. Both in water and on land, Deinosuchus Sanguineus is one of the most powerful battle mounts found on the Island, and can trivialize threats both land and sea.
Behavior[edit | edit source]
The Deinosuchus generally tends to swim around swamps, rivers, and oceans, hunting for prey.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
The Deinosuchus appears as a bigger Sarco. The Deinosuchus's jaw appears differently though.
Color Scheme and Regions[edit | edit source]
This section displays the Deinosuchus's natural colors and regions. For demonstration, the regions below are colored red over an albino Deinosuchus. The colored squares shown underneath each region's description are the colors that the Deinosuchus will randomly spawn with to provide an overall range of its natural color scheme. Hover your cursor over a color to display its name and ID.
Server admins can use this region information in the Console Command
"cheat SetTargetDinoColor <ColorRegion> <ColorID>".
"cheat SetTargetDinoColor 0 6" would color the Deinosuchus's "underbelly" magenta.

Base Stats and Growth[edit | edit source]
Note that creatures will have different stats in Survival of the Fittest
|Attribute||Amount at Level 1||Increase per point||Taming Bonus|
1Percentages are based on the value of the stat the moment the creature was tamed (after taming effectiveness)
2The absolute Base Damage is shown here instead of the percentage.
3Wild creatures do not level up movement speed
4Torpidity increases every level on wild creatures, but can not be increased once they are tamed.
|Movement Type||Base Speed||Sprinting|
- These are the base speeds of the creature at 100% Movement Speed
- For a comparison of the speeds of all creatures, see Base Creature Speeds
