Basic Info[edit | edit source]
Dossier[edit | edit source]
Xiphactinus Velox is an frighteningly fast creature lurking in the Island's oceans. Most often appearing in groups, xiphactinus can quickly overwhelm its victims in numerous piercing bites. Luckily, Xiphactinus seem to be one of the few creatures in the oceans that are outwardly hostile to other sea life. On several occasions, I've noticed shoals of Xiphactinus attacking megalodon, and even plesiosaurs! Be glad that these speedy beasts would rather fight the Megalodon closer to them!
Xiphactinus aren't very sturdy, but in groups they can cause some considerable damage and pretty effortlessly overwhelm an opponent with speed. If not used for combat, Xiphactinus are perfectly suited for quick navigation around the Islands waters as well. I will reiterate, however, the importance of leading a group of Xiph!
Behavior[edit | edit source]
The Xiphactinus speeds around the ocean in packs, viciously devouring anything in sight.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
The Xiphactinus is a large, colorful fish with a long body and many long razor sharp teeth. The Xiphactinus resembles a large barracuda but with a much shorter head.
Color Scheme and Regions[edit | edit source]
This section displays the Xiphactinus's natural colors and regions. For demonstration, the regions below are colored red over an albino Xiphactinus. The colored squares shown underneath each region's description are the colors that the Xiphactinus will randomly spawn with to provide an overall range of its natural color scheme. Hover your cursor over a color to display its name and ID.
Server admins can use this region information in the Console Command
"cheat SetTargetDinoColor <ColorRegion> <ColorID>".
"cheat SetTargetDinoColor 0 6" would color the Xiphactinus's "main body" magenta.
Region 2 is not used

Base Stats and Growth[edit | edit source]
Note that creatures will have different stats in Survival of the Fittest
|Attribute||Amount at Level 1||Increase per point||Taming Bonus|
1Percentages are based on the value of the stat the moment the creature was tamed (after taming effectiveness)
2The absolute Base Damage is shown here instead of the percentage.
3Wild creatures do not level up movement speed
4Torpidity increases every level on wild creatures, but can not be increased once they are tamed.
