The Rex Bionic Costume can be equipped on a rex to make it look like a futuristic mechanical Rex.

The skin can be seen in the Official Launch Trailer for ARK.

Obtaining[edit | edit source]

The Rex Bionic Costume is given to the player once they complete ascension on the alpha difficulty.

For more information on Paint Regions and how to use them, please view the Blue Coloring.png Dye, Paintbrush, or Spray Painter pages.

Utilities[edit | edit source]

Despite it only being a cosmetic difference, the skin has its uses. It can be used as a scare tactic, as if one person has one then one of three things has happened:

  • They cheated the Alpha Ascension
  • They obtained it legitimately and thus you should adhere the warning by running for the hills as if it were a Giga
  • They obtained it via admin or looting off someone or something else, which is still dangerous

If you play your cards right, it can also be used as a scare tactic in the sense of faking a tek saddle, as incompetent players will assume its tek and run, while the wiser ones will see through this trick.
