The Spino Egg is one of the Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Spino Eggs are randomly dropped by Spinos. They can be eaten or used to make
Superior Kibble for taming
Allosaurus,
Argentavis,
Castoroides,
Daeodon,
Dire Bear,
Direwolf,
Dunkleosteus,
Gasbags,
Mammoth,
Megalodon,
Megalosaurus,
Megatherium,
Paraceratherium,
Plesiosaur,
Snow Owl,
Tapejara, and
Woolly Rhino. On ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile, they can be used to make
Kibble (Spino Egg) for taming Megalodons.
After two Spinos mate, the resulting egg can be hatched into a baby
Spino.
Grabbing an egg in the presence of wild Spinos will cause them to become hostile and attack the survivor.
Collecting[edit | edit source]
If a player wishes to retrieve a wild Spino Egg, then an aerial mount is an excellent idea. Snatching the egg followed by a quick ascent into the air is a surefire means of reaching quick safety from a provoked Spino. Unlike other theropods, an aquatic mount is not a guaranteed means of escape, as Spinos can chase after an assailant into the water as well. If one desires a more aggressive strategy, mounts and/or other players can distract a Spinos, though any casualties are questionable just to obtain an egg. A well equipped player with a Rex and some backup or something similar in power can potentially outright kill a Spino if fleeing is not an option.
Super Fertilized Egg (Mobile)[edit | edit source]
This section is about a feature exclusively available on Mobile |
Super Fertilized Spino Eggs are a type of Spino Egg exclusive to ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile.
These Eggs can be obtained after a female Spino with a
Carnivore Pheromone applied has laid one. They will hatch quicker than normal Spino Eggs and the baby
Spino will have better stats when it has hatched.
They can also be used to craft Super Kibble (Spino Egg), which will
tame Creatures faster and with more taming effectiveness.
Notes/Trivia[edit | edit source]
From a distance Spino eggs look like they're emitting light, but they don't close up.
