The survivor profile used to be the place in which you could view your creature dossiers. Since v248 it is replaced with a screen to see the Explorer Notes. The following information is not valid anymore, at least in parts. As you go around the world of ark, you will find different creatures throughout it. These creatures each have a dossier that can (usually) be obtained by taming the beast. In some cases, if the dinosaur is unable to be tamed, will have to kill it to obtain its dossier. One of these examples would be the Titanoboa, which at this point in the game is not tamable. (As of patch 265 the Titanoboa is now tamable)
Usage[edit | edit source]
Dossiers can be viewed by clicking on the icon of the dinosaur in the survivor profile menu. Additionally, If you are close by a dinosaur that you just finished taming/killing, you will receive a pop-up of the dossier, and it will be added to that survivor's survivor profile.
You found the Dossiers of each of ARK's initial Specimens!
- Once you obtain all the dossiers in the game, you will obtain the achievement "Veteran Paleontologist."
Notes/Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The profile seems to go in a list of easiest to hardest, starting with the Dodo, and then going to the Coel, Dilo, Ichthy, and so on.
- The caption on the achievement "Veteran Paleontologist" reads: "you have unlocked the dossiers of each of ARK's initial specimens!" This could mean that you only need to tame the initial dinosaurs, or maybe not. We don't know yet.
