Misunderstand or Weak?[edit source]

1 Cooked Prime Meat heals for less in a custom recipe than it would do on its own...

Or is the "Health" an increase in maximum health?

Or is there some unspecified duration and that is how much you restore per second?

I am confused. 3mptylord (talk) 03:23, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

You understood correctly. The cooking system is called "Roleplay cooking system", so it's meant more for immersion. If you spend many points in Crafting Speed and make some recipes, you can make some decent food, that has a long spoiling time though. --Cadaeib (talk) 12:05, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Edit calculator code?[edit source]

Where can I find the code for the cooking calculator? I traced the template back to Template:CookingCalc, but it only adds a specially named div with no indication of where the JavaScript is coming from. I'm trying fix the formatting so it no longer prints 16 digits after the decimal plcae. --DarkHadron (talk) 07:43, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

JavaScript here MediaWiki:CookingCalc.js --Satan23666 (talk) 10:55, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the note. js can be edited only by admins, I'll have a look at this.--Cadaeib (talk) 11:33, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

~just a simple question I have on implementing the cooking calc on my own personal website[edit source]

I already have the js from here.

How shall I implement that into my own website ?

Element Dust missing on calculator[edit source]

Element dust is absent from the recipe calculator, but is present in the ingredient table. Based off of the previous comment asking for a bugfix of it, could an admin add it? Woothie (talk) 20:05, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Custom recipes do not provide the expected benefit looking at the table[edit source]

  • I tested all the ingredients i had access to on the island (PC singleplayer) and I did not get expected results in either effect distribution or magnitude. The formula appears to be accurate but the underlying values seem to not reflect the current values in game (PC)
  • some of the Notes regarding recipes seem to be not very relevant, for example tames cannot gain food from custom recipes so considerations for how effectively you gain food from a recipe are player only and hardly an economic issue for anyone at all at any stage of the game.
  • some of it appears to be incorrect for how the game currently works, for example when i tested a custom drink (3 cooked prime, 2 stimberry, 2 crops) i regained water until my water was full, and regained health until my health was full, the buffs appeared to stop individually when maxed and once stopped did not restart
