Explanation is not clear[]

Hello guys,

I am noob in this game so I came to learn a bit about irrigation, but with this article I don't understand what the tank is used for. Tank has to be connected to a pipe, and pipe needs to be connected to an intake pipe... So can't we just connect an intake pipe with a tap and not use a tank? Thanks! --84.127.17.197 11:36, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

the tank just stores water its just like an intake pipe with a limited amount of water. If your intake pipe brakes the tank will supply water to the taps till empty.--SharpShot gif (talk) 12:48, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks! but I still don't really get the point... Why do we need to "store" water? If I connect directly an intake pipe to a tap won't I have always water?--84.127.17.197 13:00, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
Connecting an intake pipe and tap to a natural body of water will supply you with an infinite amount of water. However some locations such as mountains don't have easy access to water. A reservoir can collect rainwater, or be filled up manually by bringing containers of water to it. In PvP servers, the tank can also function as a backup water source in the event that another player finds and breaks your intake pipe. --Mr Pie 5 (talk) 14:18, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

Youtube Video Vote[]

Hey, just thought I would link my video on farming to see if it could help the wiki page : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBbDJ7Jjamo Thanks, Mrcookiejunkie (talk) 02:20, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Your comment about the 3 pieces of poo in the compost bin needing to be the same kind is outdated (which is odd considering this video is only 2 days old). I forget what patch it was, but they can now be mixed and matched for the same result. As for the growth time, maybe your server settings are a bit slowed down, but it takes nowhere near a real day for a crop to fully grow - 2 in-game days should be plenty, and certainly no more than 3. You covered a lot of other useful information with very little filler, so I'd say it's good, but maybe get some annotations on those issues. --Mr Pie 5 (talk) 18:13, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
Yeah some of the information is out of date on this, as Mr Pie 5 (talkcontribslogsblock log) said, if you add annotations to indicate the new up-to-date information ill give this my approval. --SharpShot gif (talk) 19:57, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Video has been altered by annotations to reflect these changes, is this now ok to post? Mrcookiejunkie (talk) 22:45, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Growth/Harvesting[]

The growth rate stages durations are not very clear to me. For seedling it says 1 min -~7 ingame days, then midling takes ~5 ingame days. Is that on top of the ~7 ingame days from seedling? And what does the tilde symbol mean in reference to this? And can we not use one timetable in stead of two? This section is quite confusing to me. 217.121.69.76 05:15, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

Each state has its own duration. You need to add all them for a fully grown plant. The ~ means approximately. It should be this sign ≈ but it is easier to enter a ~ instead. --Flachdachs (talk) 07:22, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
actually you can use both ~ or ≈ to be correct the later is mostly used in aproximatly equals which doesnt make sense in the context Genie451 (talk) 15:56, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
