The Titanboa Egg is one of the Dinosaur Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Titanboa Eggs are randomly dropped by Titanoboa.png Titanoboas. They can be eaten or used to make Superior Kibble.png Superior Kibbles for taming Allosaurus.png Allosaurus, Argentavis.png Argentavis, Giant Beaver.png Castoroides, Daeodon.png Daeodon, Direbear.png Direbear, Direwolf.png Direwolf, Dunkleosteus.png Dunkleosteus, Gasbags.png Gasbags, Mammoth.png Mammoth, Megalodon.png Megalodon, Megalosaurus.png Megalosaurus, Megatherium.png Megatherium, Paraceratherium.png Paraceratherium, Plesiosaur.png Plesiosaur, Snow Owl.png Snow Owl, Tapejara.png Tapejara, and Woolly Rhinoceros.png Woolly Rhino. On ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile, they can be used to make Kibble (Mobile).png Kibble (Titanboa Egg) for taming Gigantopithecus.png Gigantopithecus and Dunkleosteus.png Dunkleosteus.

The Titanoboa.png Titanoboa can't be bred. A Player picking one up in the presence of nearby Titanoboa.png Titanoboas (excluding domesticated ones) will cause them to become hostile and attack the Player.

Since Titanoboas can now be tamed, you can now find one in the wild and tame it. They are commonly found in their native habitat, the swamp. The eggs are bright white, so they contrast well with the swamp, making them easy to spot. This can be a challenge if they are submerged in the mangrove sections.

Strategies for collecting[edit | edit source]

  • One strategy for finding them is to use a Beelzebufo and try to aggro as many Titanoboas as possible into the same place, as that will A) most likely mate boost at least one of them, and B) give you a rough estimate as to where the egg will be when you come back to collect. Just make sure not to get hit enough to knock out your frog!
  • Another strategy is to make a large wood or stone enclosure with a dino gate in the center, then use an Argentavis to pick up and drop multiple Titanoboas off on one side of the enclosure. Then wait till you see a few eggs and open the door in the center and have someone on a flying mount lure the snakes through the gate then close the gate and rinse and repeat. Titanboas only lay eggs in the swamp, so make sure you build your enclosure completely inside the swamp. It doesn’t matter if it is built on land or in the water.
  • When found, it is recommended to use a fast of flying mount to launch a "sting operation" that can extract the egg as quick as possible. Titanoboas will swarm thieves of their eggs, if they aren't already swarming the player. Be sure to exercise caution against other swamp-dwelling denizens, and make sure you don't let the precious egg decompose or spoil!
