Big ideas[edit source]

This is a list of my ideas, please feel free to respond to them and give feedback so I can improve, and notify me if you are going to help me with them.

Creature weight. In the creature pages, it says nothing about weight. Creature weight can be measured with flying dinos that can pick them up. With the upcoming addition of the quetzal, we would be able to measure much larger creature's weight.
Supply Drops. On the pages of the items that can be found in the supply drops putting which drops they are found in on the page, to avoid the extra time searching for them, and probably missing them on the beacon page.
Creature Maps. Adding for ALL creature pages, on the location map, a swamp and snow/tundra area, outlining if the creature is found there, as it would be in e.g. Southern Islets, how dodos are common, while Carnos are rare, and are thus dispayed in the appropriate colours.
Creature Maps again!. Bring back the no!, but keep the common, uncommon and rare!. It is annoying editing a page and desperately flying around the ark trying to find if a creature is there, only to press edit source and see that it says 'No' but on the actual page, it is listed as 'unknown'.
Can you give an example where this happens? If the source says 'No', the page should not show 'unknown' but don't show this region at all. If that happens, it's a bug we need to fix. The display of the 'No' was removed intentionally to make the map more clear.--Cadaeib (talk) 10:56, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
On all pages, it says unknown for the areas, even where it says no. I am not the best programmer so I won't be able to is these bugs, it might just be because I am on a mobile device but that shouldn't affect it. Cad, I believe he is referring to the map legend leaving the gray box but it being removed from the map. People continue to search for the gray spot on the map but can't find it. I propose changing the legend to red for non-spawn regions instead of leaving it gray.

Ah, now I got it. In the new RegionMap the Regionlist under the map is ommited anyway, so this won't be any problem. --Cadaeib (talk) 01:14, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Never fear! I found out the problem!, some people were putting in the 'No' incorrectly, wether it be uncapitalised, or incorrectly spaced. It needs to be like this- | herbivore_island =No Wilberforce2 (talk) 03:14, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Wait, are you using Creature Map or CreatureMap? Because Creature Map is the old one and CreatureMap is the new one that we(mainly Excalibur) have been replacing it with. --Mr Pie 5 (talk) 03:39, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Dunno, I'm just going into the pages and changing them. I found the solution on the Carno page, not sure if it works for other page. Which template does Carno use?, it would probably be the old one if it works Wilberforce2 (talk) 04:53, 6 October 2015 (UTC)

To see the used template, just look at the source, atop of the location-list. I cannot reproduce your issue, putting 'No' or nothing to a location doesn't change it in the list below the map, only the icon on the map. And it doesn't matter if there is a space in front of the 'No' or not (but the casing matters, at least for the old template). The Carno page used the old template (now the new). Beacon maps I have already put this on the admin notice board, but I feel it should go here too. But having a map of where all the beacons spawn. And it wouldn't be to tedious of a task, all one has to do, is have a gps, and when collecting a beacon take down the co-ordinates and the colour of the drop and add them into a big summary perhaps in the form of a list on a new page (with your guys permission of course). Everyone would be able to contribute and eventually we can be the first people to have a working beacon map. If this idea does carry through I would wish to have it located on the beacon page, perhaps as a link to a new page that has the map AND the list with co-ordinates (maybe in a table?). What do u guys think? Plz respond
