승천은 ARK의 마지막 보스를 격파하고 다음 레벨로 올라가는 과정을 말한다.
승천을 하기 위해서는 모든 보스를 해치우고 아일랜드의 테크 동굴을 공략하여 ARK의 진실을 알아내야 한다. 생존자가 
감독관을 물리쳤다면, 오벨리스크에서와 비슷하게 ARK 데이터에 전송된다. 그리고 승천의 난이도에 따라 최대 레벨이 5(감마), 10(베타), 15(알파) 증가되어 계속 원래 ARK에 남을 수도 있고, 스토리 진행에 따라 다음 맵과 서버로 이동할 수도 있다.
또한, 에버레이션에서는 로크웰, 제네시스: 파트 1에서는 감염된 마스터 컨트롤러를 격파함으로써 승천을 할 수 있다. 이때 최대 레벨을 155까지 올릴 수 있다.
테크 동굴
화산에 위치한 테크 동굴은 승천을 하려는 플레이어가 반드시 거쳐야 할 곳이다. 동굴에 입장하기 위해서는 승천 난이도에 맞는 브루드마더, 메가피테쿠스, 드래곤 트로피가 필요하다. 곧, 트로피를 모으는 과정에서 플레이어는 모든 유물을 얻어야 하고 모든 보스를 해치워야 한다. 게다가 베타 이상의 승천을 하려면 알파 생물이 드랍하는 특별한 공물도 필요하다.
감독관을 물리쳤다면, 아일랜드로 돌아왔을 때 생존자의 표본 임플란트에 "(난이도) 승천" 문구가 추가되고 모양이 변한다.
에버레이션의 승천
에버레이션에서는 로크웰을 물리침으로써 난이도에 맞게 최대 레벨이 상승한다. 로크웰은 Grave of the Lost 아래의 단말기를 통해 소환할 수 있으며 멀티에서는 전리품 상자와 지상의 오벨리스크에서도 가능하다. 로크웰 아레나에 입장하기 위해서는 3개의 유물(깊이, 그림자, 추적자)이 필요하고, 베타 난이도는 특정 공물이, 알파 난이도는 알파 생물의 공물이 추가로 필요하다.
로크웰을 격파했다면 생존자의 표본 임플란트가 난이도에 맞게 변형되며(감마는 초록색, 베타는 파란색, 알파는 주황색), "(난이도) 변종" 문구가 추가된다. 만약 테크 동굴 승천을 완료한 상태라면 쉼표 바로 옆에 추가된다.
익스팅션의 승천
익스팅션의 보스인 
킹 타이탄을 소환하기 위해서는 금지된 구역의 단말기를 찾아야 한다. 또한, 다른 보스들과는 다르게, 감독관처럼 3마리의 타이탄을 죽이고 얻는 3개의 트로피와 몇몇 공물이 필요하다. 타이탄과 싸울 때 필요한 최소 레벨은 없지만, 타이탄을 소환할 단말기가 있는 곳은 
감염된 생물이 우글거리므로 충분한 준비가 필요하다.
킹 타이탄을 격파했다면, 생존자의 
표본 임플란트는 사라지고 
호모데우스 레코드가 생긴다. 이전의 승천과는 달리, 아이템은 그대로 남아있으며 물리친 킹 타이탄의 난이도에 따라 레코드에 감마, 베타, 알파 라벨만 생긴다. 또한, 최대 레벨이 늘어나지도 않는다
제네시스: 파트 1의 승천
With Genesis: Part 1 being accessible through VR, more levels can be added in the survivor. To access the boss battle against the Corrupted Master Controller, you have to interact with HLN-A to pick "The Final Test". Unlike the other Bosses, the survivor initiating the battle must have cleared enough missions for its relevant difficulty.
Upon defeating the Master Controller, the survivor's Specimen Implant will have an additional attachment on his/her implant based on the difficulty at upper-right hand corner of the implant, without any prefix and like previous ascensions, will add in additional level. However, if King Titan was already killed with the survivor, it will not show up as Homo-Deus Record will be in the Implant place instead.

- Four consecutive symbols are needed to encode one character. If you see less than a multiple of 4 characters, omit the incomplete group of four at the beginning or the end - wherever the image you try to decode is cut off. If the resulting text doesn't make sense, you can add 1 - 3 zeroes (A) at the beginning of the row to see if a shift gives a better result.

- 발게로, 라그나로크, 더 센터에서는 보스를 깨도 승천은 없지만 명령어를 이용해 승천할 수는 있다. PC뿐만 아니라 플스4, 엑스박스 원에서도 관리자 명령어를 이용하면 거의 모든 승천이 가능하다.
