Expansion Pack
- NOTE Expansion Packs and DLC are NOT the same.
A DLC is something such as the Bionic skins that you can purchase and typically comes as a single item or sometimes afew items.
Expansion Packs are significantly more content and typically add: New Equipment, New Creatures, a entire New Map, new Story altogether, new Boss/Bosses and new Structures hence the large increase in price.
An Expansion Pack is a direct addition to the main game by adding new maps, creatures, equipment, and content without changing the core game-play mechanics.
Expansion Packs are also entirely compatible with the main game, and content can be transferred from an expansion to Vanilla servers and vice versa.
Expansion Map
An Expansion Map is a brand-new map for the user to explore and uncover its secrets.
Total Conversion
A Total Conversion changes a majority of the game-play mechanics themselves and requires a user to learn a new way to play the game.
Content from a Total Conversion can not be transferred to a Vanilla server.
