12Fiber is a resource in ARK: Survival Evolved. It can be acquired by harvesting plants by hand, or more effectively with a 
Metal Sickle, or by using a 
Moschops, 
Gigantopithecus, 
Dire Bear and/or a 
Therizinosaur.
Fiber is one of the early base raw materials in Ark and is used in many crafting recipes as an ingredient. As crafting a metal sickle isn't possible until the player reaches level 30 and the Gigantopithecus can't be tamed until level 30, early players must harvest fiber by hand. It can also be found in white and green Supply Crates.
