The Pteranodon Egg is one of the Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Overview
Pteranodon Eggs are randomly dropped by Pteranodons. They can be eaten or used to make Simple Kibble for taming Archaeopteryx, Diplocaulus, Gallimimus, Giant Bee, Ichthyosaurus, Iguanodon, Megaloceros, Morellatops, Pachy, Raptor, and Triceratops. On ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile , they can be used to make Kibble (Pteranodon Egg) for taming Carbonemys.
After two Pteranodons mate, the resulting egg can be hatched into a baby Pteranodon.
Grabbing an egg in the presence of wild Pteranodons will cause them to become hostile and attack the survivor.
Incubation
The Pteranodon Egg takes 1h 39m 59.521s to hatch. It must be in the temperature range of 29 to 32 °C / 84 to 90 °F to successfully hatch, otherwise it will start to lose Health. The female Pteranodon needs between 18h and 2d before having the capacity to lay eggs again. The incubation time can be reduced by up to 20% if the egg is placed in an Egg Incubator at the ideal temperature.
Super Fertilized Egg (Mobile)
This section is about a feature exclusively available on Mobile |
Super Fertilized Pteranodon Eggs are a type of Pteranodon Egg exclusive to ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile.
These Eggs can be obtained after a female Pteranodon with a Carnivore Pheromone applied has laid one. They will hatch quicker than normal Pteranodon Eggs and the baby Pteranodon will have better stats when it has hatched.
They can also be used to craft Super Kibble (Pteranodon Egg), which will tame Creatures faster and with more taming effectiveness.
