Nice work on Difficulty article[]

Hey there, nice work updating the formulas and the table, I deduced the same formulas to begin with, but I messed up the interpolation which led to the formulas and values documented on the article's talk page. For the record, it is a good idea to check the talk page when an article is tagged as having issues, as there might be more information there, as there was in this case. Also, I have removed the invalid difficulty offsets from the table; I think I understand why you included them, but they will just confuse people. Lastly, it would be nice if you would group your changes into single edits instead of having three edits in 5 minutes, as that makes it harder to see what you have changed--the preview function should suffice for checking if your changes look correct. Once again, thank you for figuring it out! :] -- IllegalOpcode (talk) 21:14, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

I just realized it wasn't you who added the invalid difficulty offsets; my apologies. :] -- IllegalOpcode (talk) 21:21, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
I'm sorry about the multiple edits. I only realized there were more things to be changed after I had committed the previous change. Hope I'll find my work around a wiki better in the future ;) Van dell (talk) 21:56, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
No worries, none of us are perfect editors, but we can try to help each other to become good editors--it's all one big learning experience. :] -- IllegalOpcode (talk) 07:14, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Dev Kit issues?[]

Hey, you mentioned not being able to get the ARK Dev Kit to work. Are you perhaps missing the modified Unreal Engine binaries from GitHub? The Dev Kit doesn't run without them. -- IllegalOpcode (talk) 08:07, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

Yes, that's the problem. I'm missing them because my github login doesn't seem to work. I'll have to investigate as to why that is as soon as I have the time. -- van_dell (talk) 10:56, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
You need to follow the instructions to the letter. Especially the part about signing up for an Unreal Engine account and linking it to your GitHub account. (You just provide your username after you've signed up for the Unreal Engine account and then you'll be invited to their GitHub organization automatically.) Without that you won't be able to access the repository and download the binaries. -- IllegalOpcode (talk) 11:50, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, the "provide your username" was the key element. -- van_dell (talk) 12:36, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
